The scope of the screening process includes the evaluation of the ticket for technical accuracy and proper application of enforcement of the bylaw. The Screening Officer may reduce or cancel a ticket only when it meets conditions listed in the Parking Enforcement Bylaw or the Compliance Bylaw. Further information is available by contacting the Bylaw Compliance Clerk at parking@brandon.ca or 204-729-2230.
Screening does not evaluate the provisions of the bylaw itself. Bylaws are approved by City Council and tickets are written to enforce these bylaws. Suggestions for improvements to the bylaws should be directed to the Legislative Services Department in City Hall at 204-729-2296 or 204-729-2207.
Any concerns about the conduct of a Bylaw Enforcement Officer should be directed to the Brandon Police Service at 204-729-2345.
